TPCC Celebrates Jawahar Lal Nehru Birth Anniversary

TPCC has celebrated the birth anniversary of the first Prime Minister of the country Jawahar Lal Nehru Today.

Speaking to media persons on the occasion, the state president of the party  Revanth Reddy said that the birth anniversary of Nehru was like a festival for all the people of the country. He criticized that attempts were being made to show those who did not play any role in the freedom struggle of the country.

He said that wrong history was being shown to the youth of the country by the BJP led NDA government. Commenting on the Praja Chaitanya Yatra of the party, he said that they had only postponed it not cancelled the program.

Targeting district collectors, some district collectors had turned into politicians and added that they had allowed the dharnas of the ruling TRS party but denied permission to the dharnas of the congress party.

He asked the authorities of the state government if the rules did not apply to the TRS and the BJP in Telangana. Commenting on the issue of the procurement of paddy in the state, he alleged that both state and central governments were playing dramas on the issue. He asked the state government if it had not spent ₹10,000 crores to buy the paddy crop.

He asked CM KCR as to why he did not come out of his house to hold the dharna program besides asking the CM as to why he is not sitting for a dharna at Jantar Mantar in Delhi. He wondered as to why the people of the state should vote for the state and central governments which are not able to buy the paddy from them. He demanded the state government to buy the paddy by allocating special budget for it.

CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said that Nehru had sold his ancestral properties for the freedom of the country. He said that the foundation laid by Nehru had helped the country to grow into a strong country. He said that all those who love the country should pay tributes to Nehru. Without referring to the name of actress Kangana Ranaut who made insulting remarks about India’s freedom struggle, he said had it was most unfortunate that some people were insulting the freedom of either of the countries and termed them as the traitors of the country.

He said that there was a need to corner BJP led central government for selling off all public sector undertakings. Commenting on the review on huzurabad by-elections, he denied all the news reports on the issue and added that the review meeting had turned out to be a fruitful meeting.
