In preparation for the Independence Day celebrations at Rani Mahal Lawns, Golconda Fort, on Thursday, the Hyderabad Traffic Police have issued detailed traffic and parking arrangements to ensure smooth access and security for the event. The celebrations are scheduled to commence at 10 am, and various traffic diversions will be in place from early morning.
Traffic Restrictions and Diversions
Road Closures: The road from Ramdevguda to Golconda Fort will be closed to general vehicular traffic from 6 am to 12 noon. This closure is intended to facilitate the smooth flow of traffic for the event and ensure safety around the venue.

Pass Holder Routes
A (Gold), A (White), & B (Blue) Pass Holders: Vehicles with these passes coming from Secunderabad, Banjara Hills, Masab Tank, and Mehdipatnam should take the route via Rethi Bowli and Nanal Nagar Junctions. They should then proceed towards Balika Bhavan, Langar House flyover, Tippu Khan Bridge, Ramdevguda junction, and take a right turn towards Makkai Darwaza to reach the Golconda Fort Gate.
C (Green) Pass Holders: Vehicles with C passes coming from Seven Tombs and Banjara Darwaza should take a left turn and park at Owaisi Ground. Those arriving from Langar Houz under the flyover via Fateh Darwaza should take a right turn at Bada Bazaar and park at Owaisi/ GHMC Play Ground.
D (Red) Pass Holders: This category should follow the route via Shaikpet Nala, Tolichowki, Seven Tombs, and Banjara Darwaza. They should alight at Priyadarshini School and park their vehicles in the designated area.
– **E (Black) Pass Holders (General Public):** Vehicles with E passes, or general public vehicles, should come via under the Langar Houz flyover, proceed towards Fateh Darwaza, and park at HUDA park.
Public Transport and Parking Options:
Seven Tombs and Deccan Park: The general public coming from Shaikpet and Tolichowki can park their vehicles at Seven Tombs and Deccan Park. Free RTC buses will be provided at both locations to transport attendees to the event venue.
Traffic Control Measures:
Tivoli Junction:Traffic will be diverted at Tivoli Junction towards Brooke Bond and N.C.C Junction. Additionally, traffic coming from Tivoli towards Plaza will be restricted between 8 am and 10 am on a need basis.
