Traffic diversions enforced on Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway from Feb 5

As per the latest reports, traffic diversions have been enforced on Hyderabad to Vijayawada Highway (NH65) near Suryapet from February 5 to 9 due to the Langamanthula Swamy Jatara.

Authorities have directed the traffic travelling from Hyderabad to Vijayawada to be diverted to Khammam by-pass road at Tekumatla and join the NH 65 at Namapuram.

Similarly, vehicles travelling from Vijayawada, going towards Hyderabad would be diverted at Rollabavi thanda to join the highway at Rayangudem.

Heavy transport vehicles would be diverted at Kodad and routed through Mirayaguda, Nalgonda, and Narketpally on their way to Hyderabad.

Arrangements at a cost of Rs 6.5 crore have been carried out for the smooth conduct of the biennial Jatara, which would be conducted at Durajpally.

With 10 to 15 lakh devotees expected to attend the Jatara, bathrooms, women’s changing rooms, and drinking water supply have been made available.

“More than 1850 police personnel and 500 volunteers would be deployed at the Jatara. Drone fitted with cameras and 60 CCTV cameras were installed to monitor public movement,” said police.

In addition to the aforementioned, a police control room and help centre are being established at Peddagattu, along with four parking spaces designated for four-wheeler and two-wheeler vehicles.

Traffic restrictions imposed for Formula E race, Telangana budget session

Traffic restrictions will be imposed around Hussain Sagar in the heart of Hyderabad beginning February 5 in preparation for the prestigious Formula E race on February 11. In preparation for the Telangana Assembly budget session, police have also imposed traffic restrictions in the city.

In addition, police have issued a traffic advisory due to ongoing construction work at the Amberpet flyover on NH-163.
