BJP MLA T Raja Singh was arrested on his way to Yellareddypet town in Rajanna-Sircilla district. The situation in the area remained tense on Friday night, as TRS and BJP members clashed over a social media post relating to a WhatsApp conversation. According to reports, a few BJP members were injured in the clashes, and others were taken to the Sircilla police station.
The Gosha Mahal legislator was detained by police while on his way to visit party members in Yellareddypet town to assess the situation. A few BJP leaders are said to have attacked TRS district president Thota Agaiah’s house in Yellareddypet Mandal last night.
BC Welfare Minister Gangula Kamalakar said he went to Thota Agaiah’s house after the attack with MLAs Rasamai Balakishan and Sunke Ravishankar, not as a State Minister, but as a party worker and a family member.
Gangula Kamalakar pointed out the fault with the BJP, claiming that due to dissent within the party, people are joining the ruling TRS party and that BJP leaders who cannot accept this fact are allegedly resorting to attacks on turncoats.

According to media reports, the entire issue began when Bonala Sai Kumar, a BJP worker from Padira, had a disagreement with Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) worker Chandanam Shivaramakrishna of Yellareddypet over a Whatsapp message.
This resulted in TRS workers going to Sai Kumar’s house on Friday night and arguing with the latter’s parents, Manemma and Ravi. Sai Kumar was not available at the time, abuses were hurled at the elderly couple.
