Hyderabad : TRS leaders today complained to Chief Electoral Officer Rajat Kumar against Andhra Pradesh Intelligence police for conspiring against the polls in the name of surveys across Telangana State. A team of TRS leaders, comprising MLCs Palla Rajeshwar Reddy, G Ramachandra Rao and D Vithal today, met the CEO and submitted a plaint against the AP Police and sought immediate action for violating poll code. They complained that TD chief and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was using his police force to conspire against the polls. The EC should take action against the AP Government, they said.
Speaking to mediapersons at the Secretariat here today, they urged the CEO to seek clarification from AP police about their camping in Hyderabad. “We have also told the CEO that the Telangana police will take swift action against their AP counterparts in this regard”, they said.
The TRS leaders alleged that Naidu has pressed some six police personnel into each Assembly constituency to distribute money and lure the voters. However, the people of Telangana are intelligent and will not fall a prey to Naidu’s conspiracy, they said. The TRS leaders ridiculed the Mahakutami leaders for complaining to the EC about police checking their vehicles. These leaders are carrying money in their vehicles and asking the EC not to check them, they said. “We are not ready to threats of Mahakutami leaders as the people are set to teach them a lesson. The vehicles of Mahakutami allies are being caught red handed with money”, they alleged. (NSS)
