TRS Plenary, new president election on Oct 25, Foundation on Nov 15 : KTR

The TRS party plenary would be conducted at Hitex on October 25, according to party president and Minister KT Rama Rao. Further, the TRS foundation day would be conducted in Warangal on November 15.

KT Rama Rao held a key meeting with party senior leaders at Telangana Bhavan on the plenary and foundation day. Later KT Rama Rao told media persons at the party office here that the Plenary and party foundation day would be conducted in a grand manner. The TRS working president called upon the party leaders to come in huge numbers and make the same a grand success.

Due to polls in 2019 and the corona pandemic, we did not conduct plenary on April 27 a tradition he said. Now with a dip in cases and vaccination in full swing, the TRS feels to conduct both plenary and foundation day events on a grand note, KTR said.

He said that the process to select committees at district, mandals and village level was over. On October 25 the party would select its president in the general body meeting and continue with the plenary.

To elect the party’s new body a schedule was released on October 17, nominations will be accepted for president post till October 22, KT Rama Rao said. He also said that the scrutiny of the nominations will be on October 23 and withdrawals on October 24 respectively. On October 25 the president of the TRS would be elected at a Hitex meeting with 14000 party leaders, he said. Then the meeting would continue it’s plenary and discuss the issues, he said.

KTR further informed that former MLC Prof Srinivas Reddy is the election returning officer and Paryada Krishna Murthy will monitor the same process. Also former speaker of the Assembly S Madhusudhan Chary would be Convenor of the resolutions committee, he added. TRS general secretary and MP Keshava Rao and others were present.
