TS BIE releases revised Inter exams schedule

The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TS BIE) released a revised timetable for the Intermediate Public Examinations (IPE) 2022 on Wednesday, with examinations beginning on April 22. Previously, they were scheduled to take place from April 20 to May 10.

The dates of the exams were postponed because they clashed with the first session schedule of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2022, which will be conducted from April 16 to 21. Many students were concerned as a result, and they approached the TSBIE to request a change in the tentative schedule. Every year, more than 50,000 Telangana students take the JEE (Mains).

According to the new timetable released by the TS BIE, first-year examinations will begin on April 22 with second language paper-I and second-year exams will begin on April 23 with second language paper-II. The examinations will be concluded on May 12. All theory examinations will be held between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m.

While some students have asked the authorities for more time between the two tests, many others are requesting further JEE attempts (Mains).

“Students asked the NTA to provide four JEE attempts” (Mains). The majority of students want to finish their exams as soon as possible,” said Manikantha Kumar, centre head at FIITJEE, Madhapur.

The schedule for practical examinations has not been changed by the Board. The practical exams for both general and vocational courses will be held from March 23 to April 8, as previously announced. The exams for Ethics and Human Values, as well as Environmental Education, will be held on April 11 and 12, respectively.

The revised schedule would also apply to intermediate vocational courses. The timetable for vocational courses, on the other hand, would be announced separately, the Board said.
