Hyderabad: Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of United Arab Emirates has all the praise for the tremendous economic and social growth of Telangana state. Mr. Sheikh complimented Government of Telangana for introducing innovative and exemplary schemes for the people’s welfare.
Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of United Arab Emirates Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan met Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao at Pragathi Bhavan.
Sheik Abdullah has praised the CM on the initiatives and development activities taken up by the newly formed state with great interest. The CM has briefed on the initiatives taken on industrial policy, development on social aspects, education, medicine and establishing of infrastructure and how the state is encountering the impediments in emerging towards a Bangaru Telangana. Sheikh Abdullah enquired how the state has become surplus state in power generation and initiatives taken on agriculture development within a span of four years. He has congratulated CM for the welfare programmes taken up for the development of Minorities in the state, for establishing residential schools for minorities and Irrigation projects. The CM extended an invitation to Sheikh to visit ongoing construction of Kaleshwaram project to have a first-hand experience and he reciprocated to visit Hyderabad shortly and pay a visit to Kaleshwaram project.
CM said that Telangana state is blooming in the field of medical tourism and apprised him how many foreigners are availing medical facilities available in the state. Minister KT. Rama Rao briefed on Ease of doing business and said that on the day of formation of the state the growth rate was very less and how it has escalated in four years. The states per capita income is much higher than India’s per capita income. Sheikh Abdullah astonished by the drastic transformation on the lines of the development and he expressed his interest in investments in the state.
The CM felt happy for the proposal of the Sheikh Abdullah for establishing UAE consulate office in Hyderabad. The CM has consented to establish the consulate. The CM instructed the Chief Secretary to allocate land and provide infrastructure for the consulate. This will increase the cordial relationship between the state government and UAE.
The CM has recalled the cultural bonds between the Telangana State and UAE.
