Ever since the pandemic started, Britain for the first time reported zero daily Covid 19 related fatalities. Officials released figures on Tuesday.
Britain’s Scientist Warns Against Covid 19 Despite Vaccination Programme
The total number of Covid 19 deaths in Britain currently stands at 127, 782. But these numbers only include the people who had died within the 28 days of theri first positive test. Meanwhile, another 3,165 people in Britain have tested positive for Covid-19. The total number of coronavirus cases in the country to 4,490,438, according to the official figures.

On Tuesday a scientist advising the British government said even though Britain’s vaccination program has been going on, this does not mean that the pandemic is over. Professor Adam Finn from the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation said that the country still remains vulnerable to the Covid 19. He had previously advised the government towards vaccination priority.
As per the official figures, more than 39.4 million people (about three-quarters of adults) in Britain have been vaccinated with the first dose of the Covid 19 vaccine.
Finn further said that the idea of thinking that the job is done after getting vaccinated is wrong. He said that there are still people who are yet to receive the vaccine. And some have neither been infected nor have been vaccinated against the pandemic virus.
Scotland To Delay Easing Restrictions
Given the current situation, Scotland’s First Minister Nicola Sturgeon on Tuesday announced that the easing of the Covid 19 restrictions would be delayed. This means that the Level Two restrictions amidst the concerns over the spread of Indian Covid 19 variants.
Meanwhile, experts have warned the Covid 19 virus may evolve in the years to come. And it is likely that eventually, the current vaccines might fail to protect the people.
