UP Man Misbehaves With Female Constables Over Not Wearing Facemask

Amidst the lessening number of the second wave of Covid 19 and fears for the third wave, some people are dodging wearing facemasks. In the same situation, a man from Amroha, Uttar Pradesh misbehaved with two female constables.

Man With Child Tears Female Constable’s Uniform 

As per the latest reports, the accused who has been identified as Mohammad Zaid is from the Pakki Sarai area of the Amroha district. He was on a motorcycle with a ten year old when he passed through the two female constables without wearing a facemask.

When the constables stopped him, he allegedly misbehaved with them. During the incident, he also tore up the uniform of one of the constables in a busy market.

The constables are from the anti-Romeo squad which were formed in every district to keep a check on the harassment of women. They were conducting a routine check drive when they were attacked by Zaid.

Soon after, the constables were able to overpower Zaid. However, no one came to help the women.

Amroha station house officer (SHO) R.P Sharma said that they have registered a case against the accused for molesting the women constables. Along with obstructing the government service while performing their duty.

Zaid has been arrested.

Woman Claims UP Police Nailed Son’s Hand For Not Wearing Facemask

In another case from Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly, a woman claimed that the police hammered a nail to her son’s hand and feet for not wearing a facemask. She said that when she reached the police station, she was informed that her son has been taken somewhere else.

After searching for her son for hours, he was found injured with nails hammered into his hand and feet. She said that her son is ragpicker and was returning home from work. On his way, the cops stopped him for not wearing a facemask and beat him up with sticks. Following which, they nailed his hand and feet and his ear was bleeding too.

However, the police so far has denied the charges.
