The 18-page suicide letter addressed to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has been taken into notice by The Uttar Pradesh State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (UPSCPCR)
The student who was 16-years old, who had supposedly killed herself on the day before Independence Day. Which raised concerns over different issues such as deforestation, corruption, pollution, and stated that these sensitive matters forced her to commit suicide.
A letter has already been sent to the Prime Minister by the State Child’s Rights Committee, requesting him to discuss the problems which were brought up by the Class 10th student in his “Mann Ki Baat” radio show.
The president of UPSCPCR, Dr Vishesh Gupta stated that: “We have taken cognizance of the issues mentioned by the student. She raised some valid points and requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to take note of it. The letter has been forwarded to Prime Minister’s office.”
The student lost her life in her village in Sambhal, the letter which was addressed to the Prime Minister was found by the Sambhal police from her house, three days later of her death.
The teenager who committed suicide by shooting herself has left all her family, friends and police in shock after her 18-page suicide letter was found.
The girl raised concern over issues like deforestation, corruption, and pollution. The suicide letter was found on Tuesday, in which she has mentioned that she always wanted to meet the Prime Minister to discuss all the problems with him.
According to her note, she was also disturbed by the problems faced by the elderly.
“I don’t want to live anymore in a place where children send their parents to old age homes,” was mentioned by her in the 18-page letter.
Gunnaur SHO Devendra Kumar stated told that “The girl had committed suicide on the night of August 14 by shooting herself. The revolver was recovered by police and her body was sent for the post-mortem. A probe was also launched. On Tuesday, an 18-page suicide note was found in her notebook at her home. Her parents told us that she was being treated for psychological problems.”
