Video of Youths Consuming Alcohol In BJP MInister’s Car Goes Viral; Authentencity Yet To Be Proved

Amidst the Covid 19 and the restrictions, a purported video surfaced online. The video shows footage from a liquor party inside a car that reportedly belongs to a minister from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Madhya Pradesh.

Youth Seen Consuming Alcohol In BJP Minister’s Car, Reports 

The opposition Congress recently took to Twitter to share the video of three youths consuming alcohol in the car. They claim that the car belongs to the Madhya Pradesh Health Minister. The number plate does belong to a government-owned vehicle starting with MP 02.

Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath’s media coordinator, Narendra Saluja shared the video on Twitter. In the tweet, he said that there is a liquor trade being carried out in the vehicle. And the vehicle belongs to the state Health minister. He further mentioned that the person driving is reportedly Minister’s private drive and the video was taken near a school under the Satlapur police station area.

“The current regime (BJP) is an intoxication friendly government that is ruling the state,” Saluja said.

In the video, one of the youth can be seen sitting in the car with a drink. Soon after, other people from the village surround the car which resulted in a brawl. The local villagers were also seen trying to take the car keys from the youth but the driver moved the car away quickly.

The authenticity of the video has not been confirmed yet and no BJP leaders has made any comments on the matter yet.

Madhya Pradesh Introduces 90 ml Liquor Bottles for the Poor 

As per the latest reports, the Madhya Pradesh government recently made changes to the excise policy 2021-22. Under this, the government aims to introduce 90 ml liquor bottles so the poor can afford it too. However, they have put a hold on selling liquor online while neighbouring Chhattisgarh has become the 12th state to introduce the same.
