Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader Vijayasanti on Tuesday asked Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao whether he would induct a woman into his cabinet after observing the appointment of a woman as deputy chief minister by neighboring Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy and allocating Home portfolio.
Taking to her twitter account, she said the CM had not made any woman leader of his party as cabinet minister during his first term and added that the CM had not inducted any woman leader of his party in his cabinet in his second term as well. She alleged that the silence of the CM over the appointment of the women leader as state cabinet ministers had reflected his callous attitude towards women of the State.
Meanwhile, she also raised the issue of actor-turned-YSRCP MLA RK Roja in her tweet and wondered as to why Roja was not inducted into the cabinet by YS Jaganmohan Reddy. Noting that it would be good for the leaders of the different political parties to utilize the services of actor-turned-politicians for serving the people as well instead of confining them for election campaigns, she hoped that CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy would induct Roja into his cabinet in future.
