Hyderabad: Telangana Congress star campaigner Vijayashanthi has reiterated that she will not contest Assembly elections and made it clear that she will take up a campaign for the sake of Congress party’s victory in the coming elections.
Speaking to the media today, Vijayashanthi said that the TRS party didn’t announce the fact as to why it was suspended her yet. She complained that the TRS party might have suspended her thinking that she might become a hurdle to the growth of KTR and Kavitha’s political career. Vijayashanthi ridiculed KCR, who failed to convince the political parties for his proposed Federal Front, for stating that he achieved separate Telangana state by bringing down the neck of Congress party and said that the people were observing KCR’s arrogant statements. She alleged that KCR slipped his word of merging TRS party into Congress party after touching the feet of UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi.
Making it clear that her aim was to bring the Congress party to power, Vijayashanthi said that she informed AICC Chief Rahul Gandhi that she will campaign in 430 mandals. She told that the party was doing exercise on campaign schedule. (NSS)
