Wednesday evening likely to see heavy storms in Hyderabad

According to weather department sources, a hot day will be followed by scattered heavy storms in Telangana on Wednesday. It also stated that conditions in Central Telangana, including Hyderabad, are favorable for the arrival of monsoon rains on Wednesday. An LPA likely to dump good rains all over Telangana during June 23-28, it said.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted that the long-awaited monsoon season will arrive in Telangana on June 21.

While some parts of southern Telangana may see rain today, the monsoon is expected to cover the entire state by June 26.

The onset of monsoon in Telangana has been delayed this year compared to previous years. The monsoon arrived on June 13 last year, but it will arrive on June 5 and June 11 in 2021 and 2020, respectively.

The delayed onset is due to the El Nino phenomenon, which affects weather patterns throughout the region.

The scorching heat in Telangana began to subside yesterday, with the maximum temperature dropping from over 47 degrees Celsius to 44.2 degrees Celsius.

The highest maximum temperature was 44.2 degrees Celsius in Suryapet district. According to the Telangana State Development Planning Society, the highest temperature recorded in Hyderabad was 39.8 degrees Celsius at Bahadurpura.

The maximum temperature in Hyderabad is expected to remain in the 36-40 degree Celsius range until June 23, according to the IMD Hyderabad forecast.

Students in Hyderabad and other districts of Telangana are finding it difficult to get to school because the state is currently experiencing a heat wave, with maximum temperatures reaching 45 degrees Celsius in many districts. Even in Hyderabad, the maximum temperature has exceeded 41 degrees Celsius on several occasions.

Due to monsoon delays, Hyderabad and other districts in Telangana have been experiencing heat waves for the past few days and the arrival of monsoon rains will provide much-needed relief to Telangana residents.
