Hyderabad : Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundararajan on Monday expressed confidence that she could pick up the Telugu language in another fortnight and would like to converse with the people of the State in their own language.
The Governor, who took charge on Sunday, went round various wings of the Raj Bhavan on Monday and interacted with the officers and staff members. She said that soon after her appointment as the State Governor and before coming to Hyderabad, she had studied the socio-economic issues of the State. Being a medical doctor, the Governor wanted the staff members to be perfectly fit personally and explained to them that she does yoga every day and walk extensively. She said, she expects the Raj Bhavan employees too to follow and maintain good health.
Dr Tamilisai said she moves in a friendly manner with the employees and at the same time she expects them to be perfect in discharge of their duties. The Governor went round the Raj Bhavan library and appreciated mobilization of the books and said her personal library too has some 5,000 books which will soon be added to the library here. (NSS)
