Workshop on Yoga and Meditation held in city

Hyderabad: Junior Jaycees of JCI Buddhapurnima Hyderabad, in association with “Barefoot Soul Talk” conducted an hour-long training and workshop on Yoga and Meditation today at Marutinagar in Santoshnagar area, here.

Shripuja, Yoga therapist, started the session with food, sleep and body class. She made the trainees do yogic and Tai Chi breathing exercises. She created a friendly environment for all. She made everyone to do a few standing, sitting and lying down yogic Asanas and Hatha Yoga Surya Namaskara with right breathing and slowly increased the hold to strengthen the spine and breath. Yoga and Tai Chi helps in left and right brain coordination and creates unlimited potential to be let out.

Food and nutrition was also shared. Eating with love and gratitude doesn’t store fat in the body .and creates unlimited energy as even a moral of food goes into the body giving out huge energy for the whole body to survive. Children eat very little but have lots of energy. And adults eat a lot but no energy. Children eat for hunger and adults eat to satisfy themselves. Therefore before every meal choosing what to eat and why are you choosing that food, that awareness is important. Then you see how much you enjoy that food and how your body will be fully energized.

Waking up with the sun and waking up early is very good for having a beautiful and fruitful day. She shared that, if lazy or not, it is always good to plan one night before what interesting action you would want to take when you wake up. Your body clock will automatically wakes up and do the work with joy. (NSS)
