Police reported on Friday that a minor girl was raped by a man in Jawaharnagar.
According to the police, the suspect, Anil Kumar (30), a travel agency employee from Dammaiguda, lured the girl into his house on the pretext of love and raped her. He then threatened to harm the girl and her family if she revealed the incident to anyone.
When the girl’s mother noticed changes in her behavior, she inquired, and the girl told her mother about the ordeal on Thursday. The Jawaharnagar police department opened an investigation after receiving a complaint. The suspect was apprehended, but the police have yet to announce the arrest.
Meanwhile, the girl has been taken to a hospital for a medical examination and then to a mental health facility.

In another shocking incident that was reported last week, a 20-year-old man was arrested in Mailardevpally of Telangana’s Hyderabad, for raping a minor girl. The girl and her family moved to the city two years ago from Maharashtra.
The accused individual has said to have lured the girl and raped her. A case was opened at Milardevpally police station after the girl’s parents filed a complaint.
The minor was taken to the hospital for treatment. She will receive counselling at Bharosa Centre.
According to the police, the accused has been charged under Sections 363 (kidnapping), 376 (rape), and the Pocso Act.
