Two young people, Kurapati Bagirath (17) and Thotla Neha (16), took their lives by hanging at Latchapet of Dubbaka Mandal, Siddipet, in a tragic tragedy that has deeply upset the neighbourhood. According to reports, the two were students at a nearby junior college and were deeply in love with one another.
It is thought that their terrible choice may have been motivated by a dread of their parents’ displeasure. On Tuesday night, when Bagirath’s parents weren’t home, the young couple met at his house and committed suicide. The entire hamlet is in shock and mourning after heartbroken family members learned of their suicide plan on Wednesday morning.
The authorities have opened a case and the remains have been transferred to the Government Hospital in Dubbaka for a postmortem examination. This tragic tragedy serves as a reminder of the value of open communication among families and communities as well as help for mental health in order to avert such heartbreaking outcomes.
