YSRTP founder President YS Sharmila vowed that she would mount pressure on the state government and ensure that it bought paddy crops from the farmers. She made these remarks while addressing media persons at Adlur Yellareddy of Sadasiva Nagar mandal of Kamareddy district.
Speaking on the occasion, Sharmila asked the state government if the suicide of farmer Kummari Rajaiah was a suicide or a state murder? She wondered whether Rajaiah would have committed suicide if the state government announced to buy his paddy crop. She alleged that the ruling TRS party was encouraging the suicides of the farmers and asked the CM if he was made the CM of Telangana encourage the suicides of the farmers.

She said that the time had come to teach a lesson to the ruling TRS party and CM KCR. She asked the CM as what power did he have to ask the farmers to not cultivate the paddy crop. Referring to the claims of KCR that he had read 80000 books, she wondered if the CM was not aware of the fact that the farmers of Telangana did not have any option but to cultivate the paddy crop.
She demanded the state government to pay a compensation of ₹25 lakh to the family members of the farmers, who have committed suicides. She said that the people of the state did not require a CM who did not want to buy their paddy crop.
