  1. Bhongir Fort

Bhuvanagiri or Bhongir Fort is a magnificent structure that reflects relics of the 12th century, built by Chalukya ruler TribhuvanamallaVikramaditya.The fort, which is oval-shaped and contains two entrances, is renowned for its impressive architecture and geometric structure.

Tourists can either take the steep path or walk along the stairway to reach this amazing structure. Bhongir fort is situated in the Nalgonda district of Telangana, about 35 km from Hyderabad.

  1. Rachakonda Fort

A masterpiece of the Kakatiya dynasty, the fort was constructed around 1360 AD. Furthermore, it offers a beautiful 360-degree view of the surrounding area. Two floors make up the fort. When you stand at the corner of the fort’s southeast corner, you have a breathtaking view of the city.

Rachakonda’s entrance is a magnificent example of monolithic pillars. One of the unique features of this fort is its construction; no mortar was used in cyclopean masonry.  A history lover’s high appetite will be satisfied by every inch of this fort.Rachakonda Fort is about 56 km from Hyderabad.

  1. Kanakai Waterfalls

This 30-foot waterfall, located in the Adilabad district of Telangana, cascades from a cliff into a large pool at its bottom.

There is no better place to trek than Kanakai waterfalls, which offer stunning views of the waterfall and its neighbouring landscapes from atop the cliff. With its breathtaking views, nature lovers should not miss this tranquil waterfall when they are looking for a peaceful place to spend some time. This waterfall is about 280 km from Hyderabad.

4. Gayatri Waterfalls

Located within the Adilabad district of Telangana, Gayathri Waterfalls is located 270 km from Hyderabad. During the monsoon season, this is a magnificent waterfall that attracts large numbers of tourists.

Gayatri waterfall is also known as Gadidha Gundam or Mukti Gundam by the locals. It lies in a very secluded location in the deep forest near Tarnam Khurd Village. Anamazing sight is created by this magnificent waterfall cascading down from 100 ft into the valley. Visitors can swim in the pool at the bottom of the falls. People should be careful around the rocks since they are very slippery.

5.  Kusrampalli Waterfalls

Located near Zaheerabad at the border of Telangana and Karnataka, this waterfall is a must-visit, especially if you don’t live too far from it. This is a tranquil, serene place mostly untouched by human hands.

If you are the explorer type, this is a good place to go with friends and family. Clean and warm water can be found here. You can follow a trail that runs along the left bank for about 500 meters. This waterfall is located around 100 km away from Hyderabad.
