On Monday night, a worker from the All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) party was attacked and killed by a gang of people in the I S Sadan police station limits of Old City.
Tariq Ali Quadri, 36, the victim, had already been engaged in the murder of Maruthi Nayeem, a property offender, in May 2012. Tariq Ali Quadri lived in the I S Sadan neighborhood.
The tragic attack took place at Vikas High School, where Tariq was attacked by seven assailants with daggers and sickles. The attackers surrounded him and struck him repeatedly with their weapons, causing significant injuries that resulted to his death due to profuse bleeding.
The police arrived at the location quickly after receiving the information and transferred the victim’s body to the Osmania General Hospital (OGH) mortuary for postmortem assessment. A case has been filed, and five special teams have been organized to apprehend the perpetrators of the heinous act.
The motive for the assault is unknown, and investigations are being conducted to understand the circumstances behind the unfortunate incident. The police are dedicated to bringing the offenders to justice and conducting a comprehensive investigation into the incident.
