Asaduddin Owaisi Sparks Controversy with Comments on Rahul Gandhi

The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen’s (AIMIM) decision to fight only nine seats in Telangana has created a verbal spat between AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi and the Congress. During a rally in Hyderabad, Asaduddin Owaisi addressed Rahul Gandhi, implying that being single leads to frustration, indirectly referring that Rahul Gandhi is not married.

Those who do not have someone at home, he claims, take out their displeasure on others. Both Rahul Gandhi and Narendra Modi, according to Owaisi, have no “body” at home and vent their unhappiness onto others.

This follows Asaduddin Owaisi’s accusation of Congress Telangana Chief Revanth Reddy having ties to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and referring to him as “RSS Anna.” He stated that Reddy got his start in life through the RSS and accused him of being involved with the organization.

Telangana’s political scene is heating up as the state prepares for assembly elections on November 30, with a triangular struggle likely between the BJP, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), and Congress.
