Party supremo and Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekhar Rao inaugurated the national office of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi party on Delhi’s Sardar Patel Marg.
He raised the party flag at 12:37 PM, took his seat in the party office at 12:43 PM, and then signed the party documents, according to the muhurat.
The ceremony was attended by Akhilesh Yadav, the president of the Samajwadi Party and a former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, as well as HD Kumaraswamy, the leader of the JD(S) and a former chief minister of Karnataka. Farmer leaders from Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, and Tamil Nadu were also present.
The two-day Rajashyamala Yagam’ concluded with the chief minister performing the Purnahuti at the BRS party office before the official opening.
The Yagam was performed by 12 Sringeri Peetham ritwiks under the direction of Gopikrishna Sharma and Phani Shashanka Sharma. They also did the Rajashyamala Homam and the Nava Chandi Homam.

Ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs, and other senior leaders flocked to Delhi in large numbers to attend the inauguration ceremony, creating a joyful atmosphere at the BRS national headquarters. Soon after the Chief Minister raised the party flag, the BRS leaders chanted “Jai Bharat” and applauded collectively.
At the same time, BRS working president and minister KT Rama Rao was busy inaugurating a Bosch facility in Hyderabad.
The Election Commission has approved the name change of Telangana Rashtra Samiti to “Bharat Rashtra Samiti,” CM KCR’s office announced on December 8.
Earlier in October, KCR launched the Bharat Rashtra Samiti (BRS), the first step toward establishing a national party to compete with the BJP in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Earlier this year, KCR met with former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda in Bengaluru to discuss an alternative political outfit to the BJP in his bid to unite the Opposition to take on the BJP at the Centre in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls.
