Chada Venkat Reddy faults CM KCR support to Centre farm laws

CPI state secretary and former MLA Chada Venkat Reddy today criticized the Chief Minister, K Chandrasekhar Rao was trying to support the draconian farm laws of the Centre.

He told media persons at Makdhoom Bhavan here that the chief minister is not against the farm laws on which the farmers on a war-path. Venkat Reddy accused the government of trying to dictate terms to farmers on crops selection.

Banning of some seeds is not correct as the farmers can decide on crops of their choice. The Government should take an opinion from all party leaders in this regard, he said.
He took serious exception to the state government for giving chance to others on irrigation projects.

The CPI leader slammed the KCR Government for adopting double standards on farm laws by BJP led NDA Government in the Centre. The two should avoid complaining on each other over illegal projects he suggested.

The Government should address podu land issues and give rights to poor farmers, he demanded.

He objected that the MLAs concerned get the applications of podu land farmers to give pattas of rights.
