What perceived as a first such move streamlining the functioning of the Board, the Chairman Telangana State Wakf Board (TSWB) Mohammed Saleem today made a surprise inspection of several wings within the department and frantically enquired about the pending files un-cleared for months.
Expressing displeasure over the heaps of pending files, the chairman sought explanation from concerned officials for not clearing off the files, applications in the tappal section and government communications.
“Delay in disposing of pending files and application led to create anxiety among the applicants who were compelled to make rounds of the Wakf Board every moving day sans any resolution,” he lamented. He warned officials and employees of disciplinary action against ignoring the Chairman and CEO’s order for disposal of files on time.

Asserting that the performance of wakf board could be made much better through timely disposal of files, applications and pending issues, the chairman instructed the senior authorities to keep a check on the attendance of officials and employees to ensure they would present on their seats till the doors closed.
The Wakf Board Chairman also inspected the Tappal Section and pored over the applications submitted by the people and the government communications. He directed that the applications and complaints regarding encroachments over wakf board should be sent to concerned sections for early action on the issues
