Hyderabad: South Central Railway (SCR), General Manager Gajanan Mallya, conducted a review meeting on Trains safety, freight loading, and punctuality of the Zone from Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad through Video conferencing.
Arun Kumar Jain, Additional General Manager and Principal Heads of Departments; Divisional Railway Managers (DRMs) of all the six divisions viz., Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur, Secunderabad, Hyderabad and Nanded Divisions participated through a web conference.
SCR, General Manager Gajanan Mallya conducted a detailed review of all the safety measures to be taken to ensure safety at all Railway premises such as station yards and sidings. The SCR General Manager emphasized that ‘safety at worksites’ is most important, he advised the concerned officials to conduct special safety drives at worksites involving concerned department officers and supervisors for a period of two weeks and submit an action plan to ensure the safety of workmen as well as the safe running of trains services. He informed the branch officers to speak to the staff to bring awareness and understanding on incidents which could have been avoided.
In addition, he reviewed the track maintenance works and directed the officials to adhere to all the guidelines.
The General Manager also held a detailed review with all the Divisional Railway Managers on Business Development Units (BDU’s) and freight loading. The General Manager advised the officials to continue their efforts to further improve the freight loading and punctuality of the Zone.
The General Manger speaking on the staff welfare, instructed the officials to spread awareness among the staff on the rising number of Covid cases, He informed everyone to strictly follow the guidelines to curtail the spread of Corona over the Zone, including all training institutes, stations and offices.
