Congress Faces Real Challenge Now: KTR

BRS Working President and MLA KT Rama Rao accused the Congress party of deceiving the public with unfulfilled guarantees. KTR signed the nomination proposing Prasad Kumar as Speaker and later addressed the media.

He criticized the Congress government for never discussing taxes and highlighted the annual reports released by the CAG. KTR emphasized that audit calculations are conducted annually, and his party has consistently released white papers on taxes. He questioned the credibility of making promises without proper calculations.

KTR challenged the Congress’s fulfillment of promises, particularly pointing to Rahul Gandhi’s pledge of a loan waiver within two days of coming to power. He questioned the status of the six guarantees promised in the first Cabinet and the loan waiver. KTR noted the increasing state debts, anticipating acknowledgment in the Governor’s speech.

Addressing job promises, KTR expressed skepticism, stating that vague answers are given when questioned about the practicality of creating 45,000 jobs in a single MLA’s constituency.

In response, Minister Seethakka criticized KTR for questioning Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s promises, suggesting KTR’s discomfort with losing power. She defended the BRS’s commitment to implementing every promised guarantee, asserting that exaggeration was not part of their approach.
