Cyberabad police to deploy 10500 personnel for election duty

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police has decided to deploy a total of 10500 police personnel to discharge law and order duties and make necessary security arrangements in the upcoming GHMC elections.

Revealing the details of the security arrangements being made by them, cyber bad CP VC Sajjanar said that they had 38 divisions of the GHMC spread across 19 police stations. He also said that they have a total of 20.5 lakh voters in their limits. He said that out of the total 2569 polling stations, 770 polling stations had been identified as sensitive. He said that they had deployed 179 route mobile teams. He also said that they had already conducted meetings with the representatives of political parties. He also said that they had conducted sensitization programs to all the police officers. He said that they had designated ACPs as the GHMC circle nodal officers.

He said that they had appointed 2 polling location officers for each polling location. The commissioner further said that armed force was guarding ballot papers and ballot boxes at distribution, reception and counting Centers.  He said that the they were also setting up check posts in static and dynamic modes at 15 places.
