Denial of Entry: Telangana Haj Pilgrims Face Obstacle at Jeddah Airport

In a recent incidence, two Telangana Haj pilgrims, Mohammad Abdul Qadir and his wife Farida Begum, were denied admission by Saudi authorities at the Jeddah airport. They had departed via the Telangana Haj Committee and arrived in Jeddah on a specially scheduled Vistara Airlines flight. However, when their paperwork were examined, it was discovered that Farida Begum’s passport had been blacklisted due to an event during her prior stay in Saudi Arabia.

As a result, Mohammad Abdul Qadir and Farida Begum were both denied entry into the nation. Following directions from Saudi authorities, Vistara Airlines arranged a trip to Mumbai for their return. The pair will then travel back to Hyderabad. The airline has alerted the Telangana Haj Committee of the situation.

Further research found that Farida Begum had previously worked in Saudi Arabia but had been returned to India following an incident during her stay that resulted in her passport being blacklisted. When the Saudi immigration authorities discovered the blacklisted passport, they denied both persons admission. Vistara Airlines made their return easier by boarding them on a Mumbai-bound flight that was available at the airport.

The duo will arrive in Hyderabad today via Mumbai. The Telangana Haj Committee acted quickly, contacting the Indian Haj Mission and the consulate in Jeddah to learn more about the event. It is worth noting that this is the first time pilgrims from Telangana have encountered a circumstance where they were denied access during the departure phase.

The Telangana Haj Committee is currently striving to rectify this regrettable event and give essential support to the afflicted pilgrims. It is dedicated to guaranteeing the smooth and safe trip of all Haj pilgrims and will continue to work to make the pilgrimage easier for the remaining pilgrims. On a more positive note, the Telangana Haj Committee has successfully deployed 19 convoys, totaling 2,850 pilgrims, who have arrived in Makkah for their historic Haj journey.
