Drinking water supply disruption on Nov 26 in parts of Hyderabad

Some parts of the city will be facing water supply disruption for 24 hours beginning at 6 a.m. on November 26.

The work to address the water supply leakage at Shivaji Chowk and Balapur will cause the disruption. Another reason is the relocation of air valves as part of the alignment of a 100 feet road widening project in Hafeez Babanagar.

It was reported that the water supply will be disrupted in Balapur, Maisaram, Barkas, Almasguda, Lenin Nagar, Badangpet, ARCI, Miralam, Bhojagutta, Budvel, and Shamshabad.

In a press release, the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) asked residents in the aforementioned areas to use water sparingly in order to avoid inconvenience.

The reason given by the board was Singur Phase-3 pipeline repair works at ICRISAT.

Again, the water board also stated in a press release that the drinking water supply will be disrupted for 24 hours on November 17 in areas such as Uppal, Ramanthapur, Sri Sai RTC colony, Adarsh Nagar, Venkat Sai Nagar, Sri Krishna colony, Old Peerzadiguda, Mallikarjuna Nagar (Phase I), and Bhavani Nagar colony.

It was reported that the disruption is due to the work that will be undertaken to address the water pipeline leakage at LB Nagar and Mansoorabad.
