Hyderabad experienced another night of significant rainfall as heavy downpours persisted late on Wednesday, leading to widespread drenching across several parts of the city. The Telangana Development Planning Society (TDPS) recorded varying levels of rainfall throughout Hyderabad, with some areas receiving nearly 70 mm of rain over the past 24 hours.
Rajendranagar emerged as the area with the highest rainfall, reporting 68.3 mm. Banjara Hills followed closely with 64.3 mm, while Nampally recorded 62.5 mm. Other notable areas affected included Shaikpet, Asifnagar, and Khairatabad. Rainfall figures in these areas ranged from 56.3 mm at Gananaka Bhavan in Khairatabad to 51.8 mm in Asifnagar.
Localities such as Malakpet, Dabeerpura, Mehdipatnam, Borabanda, Attapur, LB Nagar, and Saroornagar also experienced moderate downpours. The ongoing monsoon activity has brought a series of showers, significantly impacting daily life and infrastructure in these regions.
