According to the latest reports, the Saroornagar police have booked a case against a lawyer on the charges of beating his children.
Santhosh Kumar, a lawyer, and his wife Uma from Doctors Colony in Saroornagar have two sons. According to the police, the couple had been living separately for three years, with Uma living with her parents in Dilsukhnagar.
The couple had petitioned for the custody of their children, and the court recently announced its decision, after which Santhosh Kumar took them home. According to Uma, Santhosh, who was allegedly having an extramarital affair at the time, had been beating their children since then.
Santhosh Kumar has filed a complaint against Uma as well. Saroornagar police have filed two separate cases and are conducting an investigation.
Female lawyer beaten up by a male colleague due to political animosity
In another case, a female advocate had been beaten up by a male colleague on the premises of the Malkajgiri Court complex in the city.
Prasanna Naidu, the injured advocate, had been admitted to the hospital.
It has been learned that the lawyers Mekala Srinivas Yadav and Prasanna Naidu have been at odds for quite some time.
When they came face to face near the first floor of the court building, they hurled insults at each other and hit each other with chappals. At one point, Srinivas Yadav beat up Prasanna Naidu. When things got out of hand, they went to the magistrate in court and filed charges against each other.
The magistrate advised them to seek further action from the police. Prasanna Naidu, on the other hand, had to be rushed to the hospital.

According to sources, Prasanna Naidu ran as a BJP candidate from the Malkajgiri division in the GHMC (Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation) elections, while Srinivas Yadav is associated with the TRS party. It was discovered that Prasanna Naidu has been sharing posts critical of Srinivas Yadav on social media for a long time.
