Hyderabad: Fire department holds rally as part of Independence Day celebrations

In conjunction with the Diamond Jubilee celebrations of India’s Independence, the Telangana Disaster Management and Fire Services department organized a vehicle rally on Wednesday.

The rally in which several firemen participated was flagged off by Home Minister Mohd Mahmood Ali. The rally, which started at Charminar and passed through several areas of the city before ending at Uppal, also paraded firefighting vehicles including Mist Bullets and fire tenders.

The Fire Services Department, Mahmood Ali said, is doing exemplary work in enforcing fire safety rules and combating fire mishaps with the same zeal.

He promised the department all the necessary support from the state government. In attendance were DGP (Fire Services) Sanjay Kumar Jain and other officials.

Along with this, flag hoisting ceremonies, motorcycle rallies, processions, food camps, and cultural events were held in the city to commemorate the occasion.

C V Anand, Commissioner of Police, raised the national flag at the Integrated Command and Control Building on Banjara Hills Road No. 12. A R Srinivas, DCP (West), and other officers join CP (Crimes) A R Srinivas.

In his speech following the program, C V Anand stated that being a part of the 75th anniversary of India’s independence is a source of pride for every citizen. He asked the police to do their jobs more effectively and honestly in order to serve the nation.

Rachakonda Commissioner of Police Mahesh Muralidhar Bhagwat hoisted the tricolor at the CP office in Neredmet. G Sudheer Babu, Joint Commissioner of Police, and other officials take part in the flag hoisting ceremony. The Commissioner told everyone about the supreme sacrifices made by freedom fighters to secure the country’s independence.

Sabitha Indra Reddy, Minister of Education, raised the national flag at the Cyberabad Parade Grounds. People present there were Cyberabad Police Commissioner Stephen Raveendra and other officials.
