Hyderabad: Low-intensity explosives caught in Vanasthalipuram

Police in Vanasthalipuram caught a truck transporting low-intensity explosives. The explosives, which were allegedly used for filming purposes, were being transported from Andhra Pradesh to Maharashtra.

According to police, the truck was loaded with the consignment by Navatha Transport Company on Monday in Chilakaluripet of Guntur and was scheduled to be transported to Pune via Hyderabad.

Following a tip, police stopped the truck and discovered approximately 100 jute balls packed with explosive material. The driver has been apprehended. The facts were being verified, according to Vanasthalipuram police.

Stray dog found with severed head of newborn in Vanasthalipuram

In another strange case, a stray dog was seen with the severed head of a newborn baby in its mouth near Sahara road in Vanasthalipuram police limits.

Karthik, a resident of L.B. Nagar, discovered the incident at around 10.30 a.m. while visiting a friend’s shop near the Vivekananda statue. When he and the local storekeepers followed the dog, it left the head behind and fled. The Vanasthalipuram police were also notified.

The unidentified baby was two or three days old, according to the police. The recovered remains were quickly transported to Osmania General Hospital for preservation in preparation for further procedures. The police said that forensic examination would be conducted in addition to the search for the victim’s other remains.

It is suspected that the baby was abandoned by its parents. CCTV units, on the other hand, are being used to track the dog’s movements and the location where it first picked it up.

Based on nipping and biting injuries to the severed head, it was also suspected that the dog may have separated the head from the infant’s body.

Vanasthalipuram police have opened an investigation and registered a case.
