The Hyderabad Regional Passport Office has launched a special initiative to clear the passport application backlog. To meet the high demand for passports and reduce appointment wait times, a passport drive will be held on Saturdays beginning April 29th.
Many candidates who had been suffering long wait times for availability for appointments have been eased by this adjustment. The PSP Division of the Department of External Affairs made the decision in response to the rising demand for passports and lengthy appointment wait periods.
The passport centers will be placed in three areas: Begumpet, Ameerpet, and Tolichowki, as well as Karimnagar and Nizamabad. The first drive has been scheduled for April 29th, with around 3,056 appointments distributed across all categories, including Tatkal, normal, and PCC.
Appointment registration will commence at 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 27th, through the Passportseva website and the mPassportseva app. The Regional Passport Officer has emphasised that appointments must be made and that walk-in requests would not be accepted at PSKs/POPSKs. All candidates are strongly encouraged to avoid using middlemen/touts/brokers for their passport-related needs and to take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime chance.
