Malkajgiri police busted a drugs racket and arrested four people. A total of 16 grams of heroin were seized.
When Rachakonda police received the information, they apprehended four people who were attempting to bring in heroin from West Bengal. Three of the four arrested were customers of the fourth, who was the supplier.
The supplier also identified three other people from West Bengal as the source of the drugs. These three sources are currently evading arrest.
Akhtar Uzzaman, identified as the source, would buy heroin in West Bengal and sell it in Hyderabad for Rs 5000 or Rs 6000 per gram.
Police have stated that they are working to identify and locate the sources.
