Hyderabad experienced light evening showers on Friday, bringing much-needed relief from the scorching daytime heat. The rainfall, accompanied by gusty winds, aligned with the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) earlier forecast of fluctuating weather in the city and its surrounding areas.
Earlier in the day, the IMD had issued a weather bulletin warning of light to moderate rain or thundershowers with gusty winds reaching 30-40 kmph over the next 24 hours in Hyderabad and neighbouring regions. The rainfall on Friday evening marked the beginning of this anticipated weather shift.
The week had already witnessed a mix of hot temperatures followed by sudden gusts of wind and intermittent rain spells. Friday’s evening showers helped cool down the city, offering a brief respite to residents battling the intense summer heat.
