Hyderabad Shines as a Top City for Women in India

Hyderabad has been recognized as one of the top five cities for women in India, earning accolades for its inclusive environment, safety, and exceptional infrastructure. According to the latest Top Cities for Women in India (TCWI) survey conducted by the Avtar Group, the city secured the highest score for infrastructure with an impressive rating of 8.01, surpassing metropolitan hubs like Mumbai.

In its third edition, the TCWI index highlighted Hyderabad as a leading city for working women, emphasizing its resilience, safety, and sustainability. Women praised the city for its well-connected public transport system, travel amenities, skilling initiatives, and abundant employment opportunities.

At a virtual conference held on Wednesday, Dr. Saundarya Rajesh, Founder-President of Avtar, emphasized the importance of cities fostering women’s economic progress. “A city should not only provide safety and accessibility but also ensure competitive opportunities for women’s success and leadership roles,” she stated, citing Hyderabad as a model city in this regard.
