Hyderabad: Special buses arranged for Numaish by TSRTC

The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation is arranging special buses for visitors to Numaish, which began on Friday in Nampally.

Extensive arrangements have been made available for special buses travelling to the exhibition, according to the press release.

In case of any questions about the buses, commuters can call 7382804018/9391965462. From 6 p.m. until traffic clears, officials will be stationed at the exhibition grounds to oversee the special buses.

With the Omicron-triggered third Covid-19 wave appearing to have passed, the exhibition, which had been halted due to the pandemic a few days after it began last month, reopened on Friday. It will be open between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. on regular days and until 11 pm on Saturday and Sunday.

City police impose traffic restrictions at Numaish

In preparation for the 81st All India Industrial Exhibition (Numaish) at Nampally, Hyderabad city police imposed traffic restrictions from February 25 to March 31 (from 4 p.m. to midnight daily) to ensure appropriate control and regulation of vehicular traffic.

TSRTC district buses, private buses, and heavy vehicles travelling from S.A. Bazaar and Jambagh to Nampally would be diverted at M.J. Market to Abids. Similarly, TSRTC district buses, private buses, and heavy vehicles travelling from the Police Control Room and Basheer Bagh for Nampally would be diverted to Abids at the A.R. Petrol Pump and BJR Statue.

Heavy and light goods vehicles travelling from Begum Bazar Chatri to Malakunta would be redirected at the Alaska junction to Darussalam and Ek Minar.

Vehicles travelling from Darussalam (Goshamahal Road) to Afzalgunj or Abids would be diverted at Alaska to Begum Bazar, City College, and Nayapool.

Meanwhile, heavy and light goods vehicles, including RTC buses, travelling from Moosa Bowli/Bahadurpura to Nampally would be redirected at City College to Nayapool and M.J. Market.

To minimise traffic congestion and parking issues, police advised the public to choose other routes and use public transportation such as RTC buses and metro rail services.
