Three people were nabbed by the Rachakonda Police Special Operations Team (LB Nagar) for allegedly smuggling ganja in high-end cars. They were apprehended with 140 kilogrammes of ganja, two automobiles, and Rs.5 lakh.
Shaik Yaseen alias Feroz (33), a cab driver from Nacharam, Chunchu Ravinder (29) of Yousufguda, and Manda Babu (29) of Nacharam were detained. Srinivas of Araku, Andhra Pradesh, and Majid of Mumbai were absconding.
According to Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh M Bhagwat, the three arrested men purchased the Ganga for Rs.3,000 per kilogramme from one Srinivas in Lambasingi, Visakhapatnam. They intended to sell it to Majid for Rs.12,000 per kilogramme.
“They bought 140 kilos, packed it into 70 packs, and disguised it in Toyota Innova vehicles.” “Based on the information, the Special Operations Team and Adibatla police apprehended them,” Bhagwat added.
Malkajgiri police recently busted a drug ring and arrested four people. A total of 16 grammes of heroin were seized.
When Rachakonda police received the tip, they apprehended four persons who were attempting to carry heroin from West Bengal. Three of the four people detained were clients of the fourth, the supplier.
The drugs were also obtained from three other West Bengal residents, according to the supplier. These three individuals are currently on the run.
Akhtar Uzzaman, the source, said he would buy heroin in West Bengal and sell it in Hyderabad for Rs 5000 or Rs 6000 per gramme. Police have claimed that they are attempting to identify and find the suspect.
In another case, the Shamshabad Police Special Operations Team, working with the Rajendranagar police, broke a narcotic drug trafficking operation from Odisha to Maharashtra via Hyderabad on Saturday and detained three peddlers. Police recovered 560 kilos of marijuana, as well as a truck, a car, and mobile phones worth Rs 1.3 crore.

Saleem Ullah alias Raju (38), a construction worker, Shaik Rehan (25), a painter, and Shaik Waseem (38), a driver, were all detained in Amravathi, Maharashtra. The absconding individuals were identified as Naushad, the main receiver, and Santhosh, the supplier.
According to authorities, the group allegedly smuggled marijuana from Odisha’s Chitrakonda agency region to Maharashtra via Hyderabad.
