Hyderabad is poised to become a major hub for multinational investments, thanks to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s recent visit to the United States. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has responded by emphasizing the need for a reliable and quality power supply to support the influx of global companies.
In a recent review meeting with the electricity department staff under GHMC limits, Bhatti Vikramarka highlighted Hyderabad’s growing appeal to international investors, particularly in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and service sectors. He instructed the electricity department to ensure that the city’s power supply meets the high standards required by these investors.
The Deputy Chief Minister noted that an action plan is being developed to keep consumers informed about the power supply status in their areas. This initiative aims to enhance transparency and improve the quality of service provided to residents and businesses alike.

Addressing the ongoing challenges posed by the rainy season and strong winds, Bhatti Vikramarka underscored the importance of precautionary measures to prevent disruptions in power supply. He urged the electricity department staff to take proactive steps to safeguard power lines and ensure uninterrupted service.
To further support this effort, Bhatti Vikramarka announced plans to enhance the visibility of the 1912 helpline, which is designed to assist power consumers. The helpline will be publicized more widely, and its services will be expanded to mirror the effective operations of the 108 emergency helpline. This move aims to address public dissatisfaction with power failures and improve response times during outages.
The Deputy Chief Minister emphasized that with Hyderabad’s growing prominence as an investment destination, the electricity department must adapt to the evolving demands of both local residents and international businesses. The focus will be on ensuring that the power supply infrastructure supports the city’s economic growth while maintaining high standards of service and reliability.
