In view of upcoming festivals, Hyderabad CP CV Anand holds meeting with officials

City Police Commissioner CV Anand held a video conference with all officials on Tuesday ahead of the upcoming Ramzan, Sri Rama Navami, and Hanuman Jayanthi festivals and issued instructions to ensure the festivals end peacefully.

Anand emphasised crowd monitoring and traffic management at religious sites to avoid inconvenience to devotees and commuters, with officers instructed to remain vigilant and increase visible policing to provide a prompt response. Inspections in collaboration with other departments along the procession routes were also mandated.

Station House Officers were also told to work past their normal hours during the festive season. The Commissioner also emphasised the importance of keeping a close eye on hate mongers who post instigating posts on social media.

The directives were to file cases and issue notices to perpetrators as soon as possible. He urged officers to prefer millets over rice and make it a habit to exercise every day.
