Is Etela Rajender talk of Self-respect, insults Justified?

For years he enjoyed power without any murmur and once he was dismissed from the Cabinet,   he started talking about lack of self-respect in the ruling TRS party and the Ministry,  insults,  etc.,  and also leveled accusations against the leadership.  People would have believed his allegations If only he had resigned from the ministry on his own earlier itself,  but now nobody is ready to buy his theories. This is the cryptic remark made by a youngster who claimed he is a staunch supporter of TRS and its leader K Chandrasekhar Rao,  referring to the dismissed minister Etela Rajender’s outbursts at the Chief Minister. He further said that Etela had thundered he is not a slave and questioned as to why he had maintained silence for five years after he differed with KCR’s style of functioning and his policies.

Political observers are of the opinion that there is logic and content in such remarks being made by TRS supporters. Etela had been in power since the formation of a separate Telangana State,  but he never complained about his self-respect is at stake or being subjected to insults, either in the party or in the Government. If he felt it was wrong to pay Ruthu Bandhu amount to wealthy people who roam in Benz cars,  he should have made his views known to the chief either on the party platform or in Cabinet meetings or even in the Legislature. Or else,  he should have given back the Rythubandhu amount taken by him from time to time to the C M’s relief fund or some other charity and made an appeal to the rich people to follow his example.  He coolly accepted more than Rs. Ten lakhs towards Ruthu Bandhu scheme.

Observers feel that Rajender keeping mum on the so-called insults and self-respect all these years and launching an attack on the leadership after his removal from the ministry speaks volumes about his opportunistic politics, frustration, and his attempts to muster the support of the people by misleading them.
