Jalpally Officials Seized a Biscuit Company Causing Pollution

The officials in Jalpally today seized a food manufacturing unit in Ward no. 18 following local people complain that foul smell emanating from the company is causing severe breathing problems.

Officials led by Commissioner Jalpally Municipality G.P.Kumar today raided the food processing unit at Ward No.18 and took stock of the manufacturing process wherein Biscuit and Chocolate said to have been manufactured.

It is learned that the company is being run without proper permission. Later, the officials informed that the manufacturing unit neither had permission from the Fire Safety Department nor from the Municipality that prompted them to seal the unit.

It is said that there are around 200 companies spread around different areas of Jalpally Municipality that include plastic, and food manufacturing units. However, Ward No. 18 aloneCausing Pollution carries around 80 to 100 such companies and the local people up to their ante against the existence of such units of different trades for causing pollution.

Earlier, moving ahead with the campaign against unauthorized constructions, the town planning officials led by Commissioner G.P. Kumar and TPO Habeebunnisa, has clamped down several illegal structures in Ward No. 17 and 18.

The officials first descended at Sriram Colony and pulled down two structures and then proceeded towards Jalpally village to trample down two more structures that were said to have been built illegally.
