The Pataudi and Kapoor family welcomed a new member in their clan today as actress Kareena Kapoor Khan gave birth to a baby boy today. Proud father, Saif Ali Khan, confirmed the good news to news agency PTI and said that both the mother and the baby are “safe and healthy”.
“We have been blessed with a baby boy. Mom and baby are safe and healthy. Thank you to our well-wishers for their love and support,” Saif said.
The actress’s father, Randhir Kapoor, first informed the media about his grandson’s birth. He added that Kareena was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital of Mumbai in the early hours of Sunday and she delivered her son at around 9 am.

Social media was flooded with congratulatory messages as soon as the news came out. Karishma Kapoor, the new mom’s sister, couldn’t contain her excitement as she posted a throwback picture of her and Kareena as a baby in their father’s arms. Her Instagram post read, “That’s my sis when she was a newborn and now she’s a mama once again! And I’m a maasi again, so excited. #goodwishes #congratulations #onlylove.”
Joining the list of well-wishers were actresses Amrita Arora, a close friend of Kareena, recently married Dia Mirza, Kareena’s co-star in film ‘Chup Chup Ke’ Neha Dhupia, Ranbir Kapoor’s mother and Kareena’s aunt Neetu Kapoor and fashion designer Manish Malhotra.
Best friend of the new mum, Amrita Arora shared a story on Instagram saying, “Congratulations, my love Kareena and Saifu.” Neetu Kapoor wrote, Congratulations, Kareena and Saif. One more addition to the cuties,” While Neha Dhupia’s caption of the post read, “Congratulations, Kareena, Saif and little Taimur…best news ever,” and Dia Mirza wrote, “Congratulations, Kareena Kapoor, Saif and Taimur!”
Infamous designer Manish Malhotra wished the couple saying, “Congratulations, Saif Ali Khan and my dearest Kareena Kapoor.”

Kareena KapoorKhan and Saif Ali Khan are already parents to Taimur Ali Khan. They announced that they are pregnant with their second baby in August 2020, “We are very pleased to announce that we are expecting an addition to our family. Thank you to all our well-wishers for all their love and support,” their joint statement read.
After meeting each other on the sets of Tashan, the two got married in 2012 and welcomed their first baby in 2016.
Said has 2 older children, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan, with his first wife Amrita Singh.

On the work front, Kareena Kapoor has recently completed recording episodes for her radio show that gets aired on Mirchi 95 FM. She also did the shooting for her next movie, Laal Singh Chaddha, where Aamir Khan is starring as the male lead. The actress was seen last on the big screen in Angrezi Medium alongside late actor Irrfan Khan. While Laal Singh Chaddha is likely to release in December this year, the next on her list is Takht, the shooting for which hasn’t commenced yet.
Meanwhile, Saif Ali Khan, whose web series Sacred Games did tremendously well, was last seen in another Amazon Prime series Tandav. He has Bunty Aur Babli 2 and Bhoot Police lined up next.
