In one more occurrence of crowd lynching, a 25-year-old young man was beaten the life out of by a young lady’s family members at a town in Uttar Pradesh’s Azamgarh region.
The incident occurred on Wednesday. The police have confined five people, including the young lady, for cross-examination.
As indicated by reports, Manish Ram, who is a Dalit, took part in an affair with a young lady of the same village, despite the fact that their families were completely against the relationship.
Manish was sent to Mumbai by his family so that they could keep him away from the girl. As of late, he got back from Mumbai and began meeting the young lady once more.
Late on the intermediate night of Tuesday and Wednesday, Manish had gone to meet the young lady when her family members managed to catch him. They tied his hands in constraints and then, later on, started beating him.
In the interim, Manish’s family members came to know about the occurrence and they educated the police on the situation. But, by the time the police showed up, the convicted had escaped the scene.
The police saved the young man and hurried him to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Azamgarh Superintendent of Police Sudhir Kumar Singh said that five people, including the young lady, have been kept for questioning in the case of Dalit man beaten. Further investigations were in progress.
On Monday, a man blamed for homicide had been beaten the life out of by a furious horde in the Kushinagar region. The occurrence prompted shock and the National Human Rights Commission has sent a notification to the Uttar Pradesh government, requesting that it clarify the incident.
