Man Fatally Attacks Wife Over Tea Delay in Ghaziabad

A heated disagreement over the delay in morning tea took a terrible turn in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, on December 19, when a 52-year-old man decapitated his wife in a fit of passion.

The culprit, named as Dharamveer, allegedly grew enraged when he asked his wife, Sundari, for tea and was informed it would take some time. The seemingly insignificant disagreement gradually escalated, resulting in a terrifying incident.

Dharamveer struck Sundari’s neck with a sharp weapon in a fit of rage. The victim’s screams woke up their four children, who were asleep in another room at the time. Sundari’s son, Soldier, claims that his parents frequently argued about his father’s alcohol usage.

“My two sisters and I attempted to save our mother, but my father threatened to kill us.” That is why we fled the location. “My father Dharamveer was fleeing towards the sugarcane crop fields, brandishing the sword so no one could catch him,” Soldier said.

According to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Gyan Prakash Rai, a case has been filed against Dharamveer, and the victim’s body has been sent for a postmortem. The terrible occurrence highlights the perilous repercussions of interpersonal arguments, underlining the importance of intervening to avert such extreme events.

“The couple fought over the time it took to make tea.” Dharamveer then pulled out a sharp blade and attacked her on the neck from behind, killing her instantly,” said ACP Rai.

The episode serves as a sharp reminder of the significance of addressing and resolving problems within households in order to avoid arguments from escalating to such horrific proportions. Local authorities are conducting additional investigations to ensure that proper legal action is taken against accused
