Microsoft has been named India’s most attractive employer brand, according to the Randstad Employer Brand Research (REBR) 2024. Following closely behind are Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in second place and Amazon in third. Microsoft excelled in key areas such as financial health, good reputation, and career progression opportunities, which are identified as the top three Employee Value Proposition (EVP) drivers for organizations in the survey.
The REBR 2024, an independent survey, gathered insights from nearly 173,000 respondents and 6,084 companies worldwide, including 3,507 respondents from India. The survey highlights the evolving expectations of the workforce and emphasizes the importance of organizations adapting their talent acquisition and retention strategies.
“The insights from this year’s findings reflect the changing expectations of the workforce. As talent increasingly prioritizes work-life balance and equity, organizations need to rethink their talent acquisition and retention strategies,” said Viswanath PS, MD & CEO of Randstad India.

Other companies making it to the top 10 most attractive employer brands in India include Tata Power Company (4th), Tata Motors (5th), Samsung India (6th), Infosys (7th), Larsen & Toubro (8th), Reliance Industries (9th), and Mercedes-Benz (10th).
The report also suggests that job-switching intent has stabilized since last year. However, it emphasizes that employers must offer a comprehensive benefits package, incorporating work-life balance, career progression opportunities, and a flexible work environment to retain top talent.
Additionally, the survey reveals that the majority of the workforce received some form of inflation compensation from their employers, reflecting a positive response to economic challenges. There is also a strong inclination among employees to leverage AI in their work, indicating a need for employers to invest in upskilling their workforce in new-age technologies.
These findings underscore the necessity for companies to stay attuned to the changing needs and expectations of their employees to maintain their attractiveness as top employers in the competitive Indian job market.
