New signals to be installed in Old City to improve traffic flow

The process of installing new traffic signals in the old city area of Hyderabad has been sped up. Progress has been made in improving traffic systems at busy intersections.

The installation of signals began at Engine Bowli junction, Falaknuma Bandlaguda, and other sites. CCTV cameras will also be installed along with the signals.

Errakunta has been equipped with traffic signals and CCTV cameras to reduce accidents on Chandrayangutta Bandlaguda road.

Upon the installation of traffic signals at Engine Bowli Junction, traffic jam problems will be resolved. A number of traffic signals have also been installed at Hafiz Baba Nagar, Madannpet, Yakutpura, and other areas to improve traffic flow.

There are many traffic junctions in the city that are prone to traffic jams, according to the GHMC and City Traffic Police. Traffic at these intersections is also being controlled by reducing the speed.

Old City youth ask for libraries and study centres

An unprecedented number of young people began visiting libraries in the city after the State government announced its massive recruitment plan. Unfortunately, the lack of facilities like libraries and coaching centres causes difficulties for the youth in the Old City.

It was suggested that if the government, particularly the Department of Minority, provided the required books for these competitive exams, it would be helpful for minority youths, especially those in Old City.

It is estimated that there are a huge number of minorities living in the South part of the city, and if provisional training centres are set up to prepare youth for competitive exams, it will help them to improve their future.

The condition of the libraries as well as the coaching centres are known to be poor under the TSMFC, as there is a shortage of required materials.
